Brief Bio:- The Manc Lads
Thirty years later and a Sitwell crowd is ready to bring it back with tribute band the Manc Lads. God’s Gift starts the poetry (see above), then a loud shout of “Sheepshaggers!” introduces NoSheep til Buxton (about Mutton daggers and rodding rams) followed by the cracking rip of Sweet’s Blockbuster (“500lb, Very round. Has anyone seen him eat? He’s never seen his feet”) - Fat Bastard! And on it went, recalling almost 30 bawdy anthems such as Alton Towers, Barrel’s Round, Miss Macclesfield, Eh Up We’re the Macc Lads, loads, loads more.
Tonight’s Manc Lads [Ecky (Bass/vocals), Boggy (Guitar/vocals) and Smudy (Drums)] paid tasteful tribute (if that’s possible) to their predecessors memory. They instantly whipped up the crowd and held them captivated for nearly two hours of joyous, good humored and meaningless loutism. No politics, fights or riots, just ordinary people letting off steam to some great rocking tunes. And in today’s postmodern al lseater stadium PC world, there are few such arenas
The Manc Lads. Britains premier tribute to prankster punk provocateurs The MACC lads. Hailing from Manchester (hence the name.) The band's offensive tall-tales and home-town high jinks rattled the nerves of the British establishment during the 80/90s, while satiating the perverse desires of their obsessive disciple/fan base. The Manc Lads are three beer swilling kebab munching louts. Ecky on Bass & vocals, Bogi on guitar & vocals and Smudy on Drums & babycham. The lads have had the pleasure of having Stez Styx (original Macc Lads)drummer joining them on stage at gigs. EH UP LETS SUP!
