Brief Bio:- The Fail
4 piece Punk Rock band from Aldershot. The FaiL play hard, fast and have a laugh along the way. Beer fuelled, high energy and an appetite for fun.
The FaiL hails from Aldershot, Hampshire. They started out as a 3 piece in mid July 2011 when Jack (Guitar), Rik (Bass) and Max (Drums) deceided to strip back the old (Children of the Cleg) and the older (Espionage) and create a raw sound, that remided them of the roots of Punk Rock. The FaiL are influenced by bands like The Descendants, 4ft Fingers, Krum Bums, The Casualties, Bad Religion, NOFX and so on..
With a new idea on how they wanted to sound and what path they want to drunkenly stumble, they set about writing a new set of songs. Rusty (Ex. Espionage) was added to the line up in early 2012 to front the band and provide them with a voice.
The FaiL understood the scene needed some fresh new blood, someone to get the kids singing together again!
In September 2012 they recorded a 6 track EP at Saxby Studios, which was later released in January 2013 entitled Sink or Swim.
In April 2013 the band went through a few changes. Rusty left and Alex (Ex. Espionage drummer) came in to play guitar. With now Rik and Jack on main vocal duties for the forseeable future.
Having already played alongside the likes of: The Buzzcocks, GBH, Vice Squad, The Exposed, 2 Sick Monkeys, Drones, The Black Bullets, Pussycat and The Dirty Johnsons, Septic Psychos, Monkish and many more, being featured on DIY punk radio stations across the globe, they are due to feature on Punk Compilations and play shows up and down the country.
The FaiL play hard, fast and have a laugh along the way. Beer fuelled, high energy and an appetite for fun!
“I’m happy as a pig in shit that this band exists and gives proper respect to the ghosts of punk rock past while shoving the future of punk rock out of the way to take the lead for others to follow. ” — Jacks Insanity, PoDunk Radio
“Scathing scuzz punk from across the pond. Nevermind that it came to me as Twitter spam, it will singe your eardrums: http://thefailuk.bandcamp.com/” — @NewProfessor, New Professor Music
