Brief Bio:- Scanner
Scanner was formed by Joe Brady and Junnie Fortney in 1979, and played throughout the Central Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Washington D.C. areas. Scanner’s influences encompass a wide range of styles, including the pioneers of 50s rock and roll, 60s hard rock and surf, and 70s glam and punk.
The band name "Scanner" came into being when Joe read an article in a monster magazine in 1980 about about a new movie coming out called "Scanners" and liked the imagery of heads exploding, and imagined it being the effect of hearing Scanner music!
To date, Scanner has released the CDs "Splat" (2015), "One foot in the grave, and more pissed than ever" (2013), and "Exploding Heads in Harrisburg - Live Recordings From 1982".
Additionally, Joe, along with his horror rock band, Losers After Midnight, has released a single entitled "Pterodactyl Attack" and an EP entitled "Monsters Axes & Choppers".
